Sybil Reynolds Bowen Greenville Sybil Reynolds Bowen, widow of Sylvanus Haile Bowen, Jr., died Monday, February15, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Lamar, SC on August 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Herbert Reynolds and Amy Connor Reynolds. She was a graduate of Lamar High School, Coker College, and received her medical technology designation from Memorial Hospital, Charlotte NC. Surviving are her children: William Haile Bowen of Greenville, Michael Alexander Bowen and wife Dawn of Atlanta, GA, and Amy Bowen Masters and husband Arvel of Leavenworth, KS; her granddaughters: Aline Elizabeth Masters, and Sarah Connor Masters Mansbach and her husband Andrew of Greenville. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Bowen was co-owner and operator of Hickory Farms of Ohio franchises in Greenville and Spartanburg, a member of the million-dollar club for Caine real estate, travel agent and an accomplished artist. She was a communicant of Christ Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School and served on the alter guild for many years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2021 at Christ Church Episcopal churchyard.
