Military & Veteran Information

The Veterans Administration recognizes Coker University as an eligible and Military Friendly institution to provide education to qualified veterans. If you are a veteran, active duty Army Reserve, a member of the National Guard, or the dependent or spouse of a veteran, you may be eligible for financial benefits to help fund your Coker education.

The GI Bill® is outlined by chapters and the specific chapter that you apply for will be listed on your Certificate of Eligibility (COE).  A summary of the Veteran Administrations Education Benefits Guide, developed by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, can help in determining your benefit eligibility and can be found at the website for the Veterans Benefits Administration.

Hear from a Student Veteran!

“As veterans, we all need to ‘endeavor to persevere’. A way to follow this approach is to enroll in an accredited college to obtain education and training in a desired field of study.  Coker University has provided me, and continues to provide me, with an education to graduate in the sociology program. The staff and faculty of the college provide a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere.”
