Coker University’s admissions process is easy for new students, transfers, and online applicants. Review all the information you need to apply.

A Coker University degree will help you pursue your career goals, and we are delighted that you are interested in applying for admission. If you’re new to the college admissions process, we know it can be daunting and overwhelming. And if you’ve been applying to several schools, we know the process can be exhausting! 

Our goal here is the same, no matter where you’re coming from—we want to explain the admissions process as clearly as possible and give you all the resources you need to apply to Coker University. Don’t forget we’re here to help along the way if you ever need us! 

The Admissions Process at Coker University


The admissions process is slightly different, depending on the degree you’re seeking and if you’re transferring from another school. Before we get to the specific resources you need, let’s outline the general admissions process for students. 

If you have:

If you’ve never attended college before, you will need to:

  1. Apply Online

  2. Complete Your Application

    Submit your high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores.

    Please remember, you will need to submit your official transcripts for all dual enrollment credits and AP class scores. These are required before you can officially enroll.

    Email these documents to us, or send them by regular mail, here:

  3. Apply for Financial Aid

    Apply for financial aid by completing your FAFSA application online.

    You will need our school code: 003427.

    Remember that the deadline to complete the FAFSA is June 30 each year for SC residents.

If you have already earned college credit hours from another institution, you will need to:

  1. Apply Online

  2. Complete Your Application

    Submit your official high school and college transcripts from all institution(s) you have attended, even if you didn’t graduate from those institutions.  

    Email these documents to us, or send them by regular mail, here:

  3. Apply for Financial Aid

    Apply for financial aid by completing your application online.

    You will need our school code: 003427.

If you have already earned your bachelor’s degree and would like to pursue one of Coker’s master’s degrees, you will need to:

  1. Apply Online

  2. Submit Your Admissions Portfolio

    Submit your admissions portfolio, including official college transcripts from all institution(s) you’ve attended, by email to masters@coker.edu.
     
    If sending documents by regular mail, send to:

  3. Apply for Financial Aid

    If applying for financial aid, complete your FAFSA application online.

    You will need Coker’s school code: 003427.

    Remember to complete your FAFSA no later than two weeks before your graduate program begins. Graduate students are eligible for up to $20,500 per academic year in Unsubsidized Stafford loans.

PERSONALIZED CAMPUS VISIT

You pick the path in this option. Take 30 minutes to sit down with an admissions counselor, and follow that meeting with an hour-long tour of campus. The next stop is up to you! Experience one of our signature Round Table discussion-based classes, meet one-on-one with a professor in a major you’re thinking about, or spend some time with a coach if you’re interested in one of our DII athletics teams. All of these options are on the table for you!

OPEN HOUSE EVENTS

During Open Houses, future Cobras like you come to campus as a group to:

  • Listen in on financial aid session
  • Take a tour led by some of our current students
  • Have the chance to look over the different majors and meet professors at an academic fair
  • Have an optional meeting with an admissions counselor
  • Attend presentations of your choice, hosted by faculty and staff
