LEARNING SUPPORT SERVICES

The Learning Support Services (LSS) office provides assistance to help students navigate Coker’s academic environment. This includes general academic support such as:

  • study skills instruction
  • test taking guidance
  • academic planning
  • GPA recovery strategies
  • technology assistance

More specific help is available for students with documented disabilities and for those in need of tutoring in subjects other than writing.

Additionally, the LSS office advises international students regarding all aspects of studying in the United States including:

  • maintaining visa status
  • traveling to & from the US
  • establishing local services (phone, bank, Sallie Mae, etc.)
  • clarifying College policies & procedures
  • seeking employment during & after enrollment
  • resolving academic concerns

The LSS office is located in Room 121 of the Library-Information Technology Center (LITC 121). Current office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. on Fridays). After hours and weekend appointments are accepted, if arranged in advance. For more information, please contact:
