Louise Davis Scott Plummer

Louise Davis Scott Plummer, age 103 of Clio SC, passed away December 1 at her home. Lovingly known as “Scottie”, she was a daughter of the late Albert LeRoy “Roy” Scott and Evelyn Berry Scott and was born April 17, 1922, in Dillon SC. She grew up in the Salters community, near Kingstree, SC. A graduate of Coker College, she was a well-loved teacher. She retired after 37 years of service. Seven of which were in Martinsville, VA and the remainder in Marlboro County. She served in various capacities as a faithful long time member of Trinity Methodist Church of Clio. She was also an active member for many years in the DAR and Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Sorority.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wright Plummer, Jr., her brother Albert Leroy Scott, Jr., and her sister Evelyn Scott Odom.

Surviving are her three daughters, Carole Rogers of Wilmington NC; Susan Gardner (Larry) of Myrtle Beach SC; Lou Ann Cornwell (Billy) of Fort Mill SC; 7 grandchildren, Sandy Best, Jeff Rogers, Todd Rogers, Kelly Robinson, Laura Casselman, Ashley Cornwell, Kimberly Viola; and 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Charles Odom of Gibson, NC.; and a special nephew and niece, Rick Plummer and Pam Plummer of Clio, SC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 2:00 pm in the Trinity of Clio Methodist Church sanctuary, with graveside service following at Red Bluff cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:30 – 1:30 pm in the church parsonage.
