
On Friday, May 15th, 2026 Linwood Royce Epps, 82, went to be with his Lord & Savior. He passed away from a lingering illness at McLeod Hospice House. A visitation is being held for him on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm at Belk Funeral Home. Linwood will then be transported to his hometown of Roxboro, NC. Brooks & White Funeral home will then take over serving the Epps Family. On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 there will be a visitation for Linwood in Calvary Baptist Church at 2663 High Plains Road, Roxboro-NC at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at 12pm in the church cemetery.
Linwood was born October 9th, 1943 in Roxboro, NC. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Darlington; he also was very involved in many positions with the Darlington Kiwanis Club. Linwood was a voting member of The Sappony Tribe in The High Plains Community of Roxboro, NC.
Linwood was very active in the EMS field. He taught so many classes of EMT, CPR, ACLS, BTLS, and so many more. In 2012 he retired from DARCO EMS as the training officer and public information officer. In 2002 he decided he needed one more thing to do, so he went to Coker college and graduated with a 4-year degree, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the age of 62. Preceding him in death are his parents Burlong Epps and Josie Marie Stuart. His sister Annie Boisvert and brother Lester Epps.
Surviving Linwood is his brothers Kenneth, Deanie, Terry Epps, and his twin sister Joyce Martin. He leaves behind his beloved wife Glenda Conyers Epps, his children: Joan Anderson, Annette Sills, twins Clark and Mark Epps, and daughter Kimberly Hanna, and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Linwood will be missed dearly by family and friends.
