Services for Mr. James (Jim) Madison Pridgeon, Jr. age 47 will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Fourth Street Baptist Church. Pastor William Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Prospect UMC Cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday 1:30-3:00pm at Fourth Street Baptist Church.
Jim passed away on Tuesday, October 31 at the McLeod Hospice House. He was born in Hartsville the son of James Madison Pridgeon, Sr. and Becky Huggins Pridgeon. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, a graduate of Hartsville High School and Coker University, he was employed at Sonoco Products Company for 19 years until his illness 2 years ago. Jim was not a complainer, even during his bout with cancer. He was a huge sports fan he enjoyed watching Clemson Football with his family and friends. He enjoyed his time umpiring ballgames and riding his motorcycle. He loved animals and most importantly his family.
Surviving are his parents of Hartsville; his wife of 16 years, Kelly Huggins Pridgeon, Hartsville; daughter, Kelsey Madison Pridgeon, Hartsville; son, Trey Pridgeon, Hartsville. Several close friends and relatives.Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, 1203 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
