Marilyn Foulk Massie

Marilyn Foulk Massie, 80, of Kingsport, passed away Sat. May 16, 2020 at Wexford House following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina and Masters degree from University of Georgia in education. Marilyn had a love for her family and friends. She was loved by many and had a contagious smile. She had a great love for her cats and dogs for which she dedicated much time and rescued many.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Hershel and Lotus Foulk, husband Richard Massie, Step-sons Eric and Nicholas Massie.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Dr. David Foulk and girlfriend Lindsy Phillips, nieces Jennifer Nutter and husband Brian, Ashley Wilson, great niece Kate Nutter, great nephew David Nutter, aunt Bobbie Bishop and her best friend Cynthia Turroff along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Wexford House, Hospice and Encompass Health for the love and care that was shown to her. Also, a special thanks to Dr. David Johnson and staff for the love and care shown to her and her pets. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sullivan County Humane Society in honor of Marilyn and the love she had for her pets.
