WELCOME TO COKER!
We are thrilled to have you join our family of Cobras, and we’re here to make your transition to Coker as smooth as possible. Whether you’re an undergrad or graduate student, taking classes online or on-campus—Coker’s staff and faculty will help you navigate your new academic journey. Here are some resources to get you started.
PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST TERM
There’s plenty to do before the start of classes, but we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed! We’ve prepared checklists to help you stay on track and take things one step at a time. Let’s start by pointing you in the right direction.
What Type of Student Are You?
Will you be coming to Coker as a first-time college student? Or maybe you’re taking online classes for a bachelor of science degree. You may even be transferring credit hours from another institution. Take a look at the descriptions below and click on the checklist link that makes sense for your situation.

If this is your first college experience and you intend to take classes primarily at our Hartsville campus during daytime hours, these resources will help you prepare for your first semester. Please start by letting us know if you intend to begin classes in the fall or spring semester.
