What resources are available to me if I am the victim of a Title IX violation (gender discrimination or sexual misconduct)?
COUNSELING SERVICES:At your request, Counseling Services will make an appointment to meet with you and/or give you referrals in the event that you request that assistance. The counselor is a mandated confidential resource. This means the counselor will only report to the college that an offense took place and the location. Details of the event are not exposed. STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES:Student Health Services will be able to assist you with your health care needs. The nurse can also give you a referral in the event you request that assistance. CAMPUS SAFETY:Safety officers can assist you at any time if you feel you are unsafe, if you need assistance filing criminal charges or if you would like to speak with a victim’s advocate. What should I do if I know of a Title IX violation involving gender discrimination or sexual misconduct?
- Please report this incident to the college’s Title IX Coordinator, Sean Kenyon at 843-383-8007 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
- All employees of the college are mandatory reporters as well. If you feel most comfortable talking to a coach, faculty or staff member, please do so. The employee will assist you in getting the information to the Title IX Coordinator.
