Are you a budding entrepreneur with a desire to do some good? Enactus is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities. You’ll get to sit in on a presentation by Coker’s Enactus team, which currently ranks as one of the top 12 in the nation. Ask the student members about traveling to Kansas City to present at nationals or about traveling to Myanmar last August to install aquaponics systems outside of Dala. And, no, you don’t have to be a business major to join Enactus––good ideas come from all areas of study!
-
add remove STUDY AWAY AND STUDY ABROAD
Part of every traditional undergraduate’s experience at Coker is a study away or study abroad trip. Students choose from a variety of travel opportunities—including the “D.C. Experience,” in which all first-year students visit Washington, D.C. together, for a three-day shared cultural experience. In this session, you’ll learn about your options, which include Spain, New York City, or even somewhere a little closer to home here in the Southeast.
-
add remove ACADEMIC OVERVIEW
Find out more about Coker’s nationally recognized round-table approach to learning and our 40+ areas of study. You can learn more about how Coker is rethinking the traditional class schedule and incorporating more linked courses. This session is led by Dr. Peter Gloviczki, assistant professor of communication at Coker and an SCICU Excellence in Teaching Award winner.
