Outdoor Adventure Trips

The Physical Education Department and Campus Life have partnered to make available a broad range of recreational opportunities in an effort to improve the physical wellness of students. The program’s intent is to engage students in a variety of new and challenging outdoor experiences.

The Outdoor Adventure Trips include:

  • US National Whitewater Center: Home of the largest man-made river in North America and located in Charlotte, N.C., the USNWC offers a wide range of activities for students to choose from, including mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, eco trekking, rafting, zip lining and exploring over 300 acres of trails. Check out the VIDEO!
  • Snow Skiing: The mountains of North Carolina are perfect for expert or novice skiers. In the spring, students travel to Appalachian Ski Mountain for a day of skiing and snowboarding.
  • Beach Day: Each spring, students travel to Myrtle Beach to try new water sports, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and kite surfing.
