I joined Coker University in 2011. Before coming to Coker, I had taught the Chinese language, literature, and culture in New York for ten years, seven years at SUNY Stony Brook University, and three years at Suffolk County Community College. My broad research interests include Chinese Poetry in the Tang Dynasty, contemporary overseas Chinese writers, and Chinese teaching pedagogy. I also like creative writing and am a member of the Chinese Writers Association of New York.
