Dissertation Title: The Correctional Officers’ Experiences with Mentally Challenged Individuals

16 years of professional experience in law enforcement and over eight years of experience
teaching, training and mentoring new peace officers. Expertise in the experiences of the mentally ill within the criminal justice system. Currently employed as a special agent.

Academic areas of interest include: constitutional and criminal law, juvenile justice, mental health crisis intervention, and leadership and ethics in policing.
