Instructor - Master of Science in College Athletic Administration
Dr. Aagaard has extensive experience in the sport industry including working with the NBA’s Orlando Magic, more than a decade as an Athletic Director, and now serving as Associate Professor and Chair of Sport Management at Catawba College (Salisbury, NC).
He has solidified partnerships with the Charlotte Hornets (NBA), Carolina Panthers (NFL), Charlotte Knights (MiLB Chicago WhiteSox AAA), Kannapolis Intimidators (MiLB-Chicago WhiteSox A), UNC-Charlotte (Conf USA), UNC-Chapel Hill (ACC), and the ACC Conference. These partnerships have proven to be valuable for our students in securing internships and entry opportunities into the sport industry.
Dr. Aagaard currently living in Concord, NC which is located a few miles outside of Charlotte. He has been married for more than 14 years, and has three kids (Peyton-9, Autumn-6, and Weston-1). He also serves as the Chaplain for the Kannapolis Intimidators (Chicago White Sox single A affiliate).
