HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Hartsville-Coker Concert Association presents VOX on Sunday, October 17 at 3 p.m. in the Watson Theater of Coker College’s Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. Admission at the door is $20 for adults, $7 for children under 18 and students, or free with a Coker College ID.

VOX is Carolina Voices’ most demanding, innovative and eclectic ensemble, performing repertoire of all genres, styles and formats. A collaborative choral venture between Carolina Voices and Central Piedmont Community College, the 24-32-member ensemble presents cutting-edge performances and music, often in collaboration with some of the region’s finest artists from all disciplines.

Under the direction of David Tang, VOX will be joined by members of the Hartsville Chamber Ensemble and the Hartsville High School Singers for this performance. They will be performing two pieces from VOX’s work, There Will Be Peace, entitled, “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “For the Fallen.”

VOX has performed with the Charlotte Symphony and Jazz Orchestras, at the Tosco Music Party, with Nu Kids on the Block, Gospel up-and-comer Dennis Reed & G.A.P., Maha Gingrich’s Dances of India, Son de Cuba, and over 200 other artists and institutions from a panoply of cultures and artistic disciplines.

A partnership between Coker College and the Hartsville Community Concerts Association, the Hartsville-Coker Concert Association (HCCA) presents an annual program of performing arts events in downtown Hartsville and on the Coker College campus. Individual tickets are sold for each event or discounted season tickets are included in an HCCA membership.

For more information about HCCA concerts and memberships, call 843-332-7820 or visit www.hartsvillecokerconcerts.org or www.coker.edu/hcca.
