Hartsville, S.C. (June 3, 2010) -- Popular recording artist and Las Vegas pianist David Osborne is returning to Hartsville for an encore performance at Coker College on Wednesday, June 30  at 7 p.m. in the Watson Theater of the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. Osborne performed at Coker College in September and is back by popular demand.

Known as “Pianist to the Presidents,” Osborne has performed at The White House for Presidents Carter, Bush, Reagan, Clinton, and Obama. His musical repertoire includes romantic, classical, jazz, inspirational, and Broadway standards. Osborne is also the pianist at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

A Steinway artist, Osborne’s 24 CDs on the North Star Music label have sold more than 7 million copies and he is considered the country’s leading romantic piano recording artists. His most recent CD is 2010’s “What a Wonderful World.”

At the Bellagio, Osborne is a main attraction at the Petrossian Bar and The Baccarat Bar. He was previously a fixture at Caesar’s Palace on the Vegas Strip for 12 years. Osborne has local ties through a friendship with Hartsville accountant Tommy Goodson.

“David is an amazing and versatile entertainer,” said Goodson. “Anyone who saw his concert at Coker College last September can tell you that he really knows how to wow an audience. A David Osborne concert is a memorable experience.”

Osborne tours throughout the United States and has performed for a wide range of international dignitaries and celebrities. His recent concerts include the Steinway and Sons International Convention in Beverly Hills and on the Steinway and Sons Legendary Instruments of the Immortals Tour where he played on pianos belonging to Gershwin, Van Cliburn and Horowitz.
