Teresa Cameron Glasco

April 4, 1933 – February 18, 2017

Teresa Mae Glasco, 83, Joined Her Lord And Savior, Jesus Christ On Saturday, February 18, 2017.    Teresa Was Born To Roy And Oras (O’Neal) Jones On April 4, 1933, In Groesbeck, Texas.    After Being Baptized In The Baptist Church And Graduating From Groesbeck High School, Teresa Married The Love Of Her Life, Albert Jene Glasco, On June 30, 1952.     The Two Quickly Grew Their Family And Began Building A Legacy Of Hard Work And Dedication. Teresa Worked Tirelessly To Help Build Multiple Family Businesses Including Grocery Stores, A Golf Course, And Several Clothing And Gift Boutiques.    But, The Adage Of “All Work And No Play” Never Suited This Fun-Loving And Energetic Woman.    Teresa Loved To Play Golf, Paint, Travel, And Work In Her Garden.    She Even Had A Few Lesser-Known Hobbies When She Was Younger Such As Trick Water Skiing, Aviation, And Dancing.    Teresa Was A Devoted Mother And Was Blessed With Four Wonderful Children.    Teresa And A.J. Saw Value In Working Alongside One Another As A Family And Were Intentional To Teach Their Children The Importance Of Honesty, Integrity And A Good Work Ethic. Each Of Their Children Was And Is A Reflection Of The Love And Devotion Shown To Them By Their Parents.    Widowed At The Early Age Of 47, Teresa Proved To Be A Woman Of Resilience And Grace.    She Allowed The Lord To Do Mighty Works In Her Life And Served Him Wholeheartedly.    Teresa Withstood Many Trials And Heartaches, But Through Them All She Held On To The Truth Knowing That “For Those Who Love God All Things Work Together For Good For Those Who Are Called According To His Purpose.” (Romans 8:28).    Although The Good Was Not Always Immediately Seen, Her Faithfulness To Trust God’S Sovereignty Offered Her Confidence And Comfort. Her Legacy Of Faith Continues To Live On In The Lives Of Her Children, Grandchildren And Great-Grandchildren.    Teresa Understood That A Life Lived Devoted To Her Lord And Savior Was The Greatest Good She Could Ever Pass On To Her Family.    It Can Be Said Of Teresa With Full Confidence That “She Fought The Good Fight, She Finished The Race, She Kept The Faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) Teresa Was A Founding Member Of Center Church Brenham. When One Of Her Granddaughters And Grandson Announced They Felt Called To Plant The New Church, She Excitedly Offered Her Full Support And Jumped On Board To Devote Herself To Her Family Once Again.    Her Servant’S Heart Was Always Ready To Volunteer Wherever Needed. Whether It Was Rocking Babies In The Nursery, Making Numerous Pots Of Coffee, Or Cleaning Up After Services, She Did It All With A Happy Heart. Teresa Served Her Family And The Lord Until The End And Truly She Heard Upon Entering Her Savior’S Presence, “Well Done Good And Faithful Servant.”
