| POSITION SUMMARY |
|
Brief Description of Duties:
- check halls on a regular basis (2 to 3 times per week) and empty recycle bins
- collect all recyclables to a common bin and bag them for transport
- cleans and/or replaces recycling bins as needed
- Maintains a clean environment in the residence halls
- Walks through halls on a regular basis to document any repairs that need to be reported
- Straightens lounges and common areas as needed
- Repairs damaged bulletin boards as needed
- Cares for residence halls flowers, waters and weeds plants as needed, plants new flowers as needed
- Maintains a clean environment in common areas such as the volleyball court and smokers' areas at the residence halls
- weeds volleyball court and cleans out the sand as needed
- cleans out sitting area pits as needed
- cleans out smokers' pots as needed
- ensures the entrances of all residence halls are free of trash and cigarette butts
Hours: Flexible/Negotiable
Details:
- Work is indoors and outdoors, days and evenings, weekdays and weekends, on-campus and off-campus, casual dress
- Student must wear gloves while doing work involving trash to help guard against infection and/or cuts.
Potential Risks to Students:
- Lifting up to 20 pounds, hazards associated with being outside
