Library Forms

The library's Collection Development Policy is a dynamic document outlining the current guidelines and practices to be used in the selection of all library materials. Please note these recent revisions to the policy:

• Before purchasing a book, the title’s availability through PASCAL Delivers will be considered.
• The item is ESSENTIAL either for courses taught during the 2011-12 academic year or for the teaching needs of the faculty.

Faculty may also use the Book and Audio-Visual Request Form to request new library materials. For a list of recent acquisitions, see New Library Items.

We recommend using CHOICE Online Reviews for assistance in selecting materials. Your subject liaison will also send CHOICE review cards periodically.

Reserves

The library is bound by U.S. Copyright Laws and needs to ensure proper procedures are followed. See our Reserves Policies.

• Reserves Form (online version for a single item at a time) for books or audio-visual material owned by the library or the professor
• Reserves Form (print version for multiple items) for books or audio-visual material owned by the library or the professor
• Duplicated Materials Reserve Form (for photocopied articles, student work, etc.)

Instruction

Faculty may request library instruction by emailing Megan Johnson or by calling her at 383-8191. Classes are conducted in the library's instruction classroom, where students get hands-on experience using electronic resources. Librarians tailor the classes to the students' assignments, and can provide instruction on any kinds of research sources, including databases, online catalog, Internet resources, and reference works.

The library has a collection of books geared to the faculty. They are shelved across from the reference desk on the middle shelf near the new books. This collection includes the following titles:
