artist statement The human body is seen everywhere and is essentially a sculpture in itself. By peeling away the shell of an individual the viewer can become enticed to explore the inside as well as able to ponder what makes them what they are.   There's an eerie otherness that comes when the "I" of a person, their soul, is removed from their shell. These figures are now given a new vulnerability as they react to the confines that society has placed upon them.
