Staff Meeting Minutes November 18, 2010
Welcome Given by Lynn Rawls.
Approval of Minutes Motion made by Michele South, seconded by Wes Daniels, passed.
Benefits Changes – John Cerasani, Northwest Comprehensive, Inc. All were given folders with Voluntary Life, dental high and low plans.
On life—employees automatic life paid for by Coker $50,000 starting 1-1-11; you can keep the same rates if you already have this coverage.
On high dental--$31.35 month; orthodontics only for children; $50 out of pocket per year—none with preventive; waiting period—none for preventive, 3 months basic, 12 months major, 24 month orthodontics; calendar maximum per year $1250.
On low dental--$25.82 month; same as high except $750 maximum per year.
Everyone needs to complete the form and return to Janice Bullard by December 14th—even if you aren’t changing or adding anything. If you have any questions, please call Janice.
Upcoming CSAC Elections Still have one opening in President/Athletics; two in Student Services & Enrollment; one in Business Operations. Contact Lynn Rawls if you are interested in representing your area.
Computer User Group Had first meeting this week. Email was the topic. This is group participation of questions and discussion. Probably have one a month, you can attend ½ hour if want, next one maybe on December 7th.
Department “Pat-on-the-Back" Goes to group rarely seen on campus but a very important part of Coker College - offices of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations.
Lifesaver Awards Lesa Mulligan (office manager in Admissions)—for all of the changes on campus, Leslie Doss makes coming to work enjoyable. Cathy Cuppett—had two large boxes delivered that needed to go to the LITC and Tarshia Edwards and her husband Josh (on his day off) helped her out. Leslie Doss—he was not present by award goes to Dave Schmotzer for his help when she was taking a lot of boxes across Home Avenue and they spilled over in the road. Dave stopped traffic, and helped her take them to her office.
Staff Excellence Award Goes to Wally Boatwright. A poem written by Tina Byrd for Jeff Lubetkin describing a lot of what Wally does for Coker was read.
