Dr. Wyatt – Updates and Questions 1. Finished first year at Coker, it was a good start. 2. Hope everyone’s enjoying getting off early on Fridays. 3. Everyone should have had a performance review by his/her supervisor. Letters for next year were given to supervisors. If you have not had review by your supervisor, contact Dr. Wyatt. 4. There will be several groups on campus the next few days: high school guidance counselors from around state, a large open house, and the Coker Connection. Let’s show them how great Coker is. 5. Online classes have gotten off to a great started with the help of Tasha Stryker. Now deciding where to go in the fall. 6. We have a new Athletic Director and many new coaches. On Tuesday, a new Cobra logo will be revealed that is much fiercer. 7. Frank Bush will be changing jobs on June 30; he will now be Director of Planned Giving and Community Relations. Tom Giffin is excited to start his job. 8. The college is working on branding so that we are conveying the same message. 9. There are many changes taking place on campus—lots of painting and repairing. The capitals of the dining hall will be replaced because an alum has pledged to pay ½ of the cost and is challenging others to help.
Lifesaver Awards Janie Campbell was not present, but Lynn Rawls presented her lifesaver award to Jeff Lubetkin.
Lynn Rawls also gave a lifesaver to Jeff Lubetkin for his idea to shuttle people to the luau.
Angela White gave a lifesaver for Stacy Atkinson for volunteering Karen Gainey to help with the luau all day.
Staff Excellence Award Jennifer Rhodes was the winner for this month. She helps out more than most realize. She is always willing to help anyone.
Questions from the Floor 1. Why did we change the time to 8:45? Some staff employees requested starting later so they can stop by their office before the meeting and check messages. 2. Whitney Watts is our new Director of Residence Life and will be living in RTC. 3. If you send suggestions or comments by campus mail or by the website, it is totally anonymous.
