Staff Meeting Minutes September 16, 2010
Welcome – Lynn Rawls and Tom Giffin Pat Lincoln surprised Lynn Rawls with the Staff Excellence Award
Approval of Minutes Motion made to accept as e-mailed by Pat Dampier and seconded by Michele South
Staff Survey Results Some of the requests noted in the staff surveys are being implemented such as meeting minutes will go out earlier. Please look at the survey results e-mailed to everyone if you haven’t had a chance. Questions will be addressed after responses have been formulated for administrative staff. One question about the true confidentiality of submitting questions via the website and via campus mail was answered: any questions submitted in these two avenues are truly confidential and cannot be traced back to the individual.
Re-Introduction of CSAC Members CSAC members present were introduced: Kyle Saverance, Ginger Freeman, Leslie Doss, Reggie Atkinson, Charles Pearce and Tommy Baker. Jennifer Rhodes, Angela White, and Dee Pierce were unable to attend.
New Staff Members Tom Giffin introduced Catherine Charles and Perry Wilson introduced Jade Horner. Kyle Saverance introduced Ashley Simatic.
American Cancer Society – Beth Johnson Beth talked about cases in the area where our donation helped the American Cancer Society save lives. She reminded us that our Relay For Life dollars and volunteer hours really make a difference for people in our community who are diagnosed with cancer.
Lifesaver Awards Jewel Hoover presented lifesaver awards to Robin Perdue and Mary Fernandes.
Department “Pat on the Back” This month’s feature department is the Business Office. The Business Office staff works hard everyday to ensure that Coker’s finances are well cared for. Thanks for keeping us straight!
Staff Excellence Award Nancy Matthews (nominated by Alexa Bartel), was presented the award in addition to the surprise award to Lynn Rawls (nominated by Dr. Susan Henderson).
