Hartsville, SC — Coker College Theater presents Maurice Maeterlinck’s 1893 haunting love story “Pelléas and Mélisande” on Thursday, April 17 through Saturday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theater of the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. The production is the senior thesis of Rose Forman. Admission at the door is free. The plays stars junior Shannon Crouch as the mysterious woodland creature Mélisande, sophomore Anthony Peguese as her human husband Golaude, and junior Cody Smith as her brother-in-law, Pelléas. Other cast members are Robert O’Hara as King Arkel, Emily Dornburg as Genevieve, Danny Wagner as the physician, and Avery Bateman as Yeniold. “This is the capstone of my Coker College experience,” said Foreman, a theater major and a dance and English minor. “I hope that everyone can enjoy the product of my journey as much as I have enjoyed getting there.”
