Hartsville, S.C. — Coker College Dance presents its annual fall concert at 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 through Saturday, October 28 in the Watson Theater of the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. Admission at the door is $5 or free with Coker College ID. A showcase of student choreography, the dance concert will feature eight original works performed to musical styles ranging from The Who and Pink Floyd to Maxwell and Indie Arie. Jessica Vause of Timmonsville will present her senior thesis entitled “The Disease That We Deny,” which addresses different forms of addiction and their affect on people. Other choreographers whose work debuts in the concert are seniors Jackie O’Toole of Drexel Hill, Pa., and Amanda Wright of Columbia; juniors Elsie Mufuka of Lubeco, SC, Shante McDougald of East Point, Ga., and Heather Watkins of Hartsville; and freshmen Martell Bivings of Detroit and Danyelle Givens of Milwaukee.
