U.S.News Ranks Coker One of "America's Best Colleges"
for the 12th Time

Hartsville, SC - U.S. News & World Report has ranked Coker College in the Top Tier of the Best Comprehensive Colleges in the South for 2008.  This is the 12th consecutive year the magazine has named Coker one of “America’s Best Colleges.” The magazine places Coker 14th out of 102 comprehensive colleges in the South.

U.S. News & World Report defines  a comprehensive college as an institution that focuses on undergraduate education while offering a wide range of degree programs in the liberal arts as well as professional fields, such as business and education.

For its annual college guide, U.S. News & World Report rates colleges using a number of criteria, including peer assessment, graduation rate, student-faculty ratio, percentage of full-time faculty, and alumni giving.
