COKER COLLEGE STUDENTS
. Students must present a valid student ID each time an item is checked out.
. Books and scores circulate for 3 weeks; videos and DVDs for 3 days; CDs and audio-cassettes for 2 weeks. 1 renewal is allowed for these materials.
. Students may have no more than 25 items (maximum of 3 videos or DVDs) checked out at one time. (The borrowing period for Fort Jackson, Mullins, and Lake City students can be extended and will be determined on an individual basis--please call 888-887-4526 for more information.)
. Reserve materials, journals, magazines, newspapers, reference books, record albums, microfilm, microfiche, rare books, and archival materials must be used within the building.
. Students may recall items that have been checked out by other patrons. We reserve the right to recall books from any patron after they have been checked out for one week. If an item is recalled, you have 7 days from the date of the recall notice to return the item.
. Students will be sent a notice once an item is overdue. If the item is not returned within 14 days from the due date, the student will be billed for the item. This bill is comprised of a non-refundable processing fee of $5, a $5 billing fee and the replacement cost. If the item is returned after billing but before the item has been replaced, the billing fee and the charge for the item will be refunded; the $5 processing fee will NOT. Charges for library materials that were overdue by more than 2 months will NOT be refunded. Students in arrears will not be able to re-register or receive a diploma. Borrowing privileges of chronically delinquent library patrons will be suspended. |
COKER COLLEGE FACULTY AND STAFF
. Borrowers must present a valid faculty or staff ID each time an item is checked out. If you do not have an ID card, please arrange to get one from Student Services.
. Books and scores circulate for 1 semester; videos and DVDs for 7 days; CDs, record albums, and audio-cassettes for 2 weeks; bound periodicals for 7 days; current periodicals for 3 days; reference books for 3 days. All materials are allowed 1 renewal.
. Microforms and archival materials must be used within the building. Special permission to take these items out of the library may be extended under certain circumstances-see Alexa for details.

EQUIPMENT
The following equipment may be borrowed by Coker College faculty and staff:
. Overhead projectors
. Portable projection screens
. Laptop computers
. LCD projectors
. TV/VCR
. VCR (VHS and European formats)
. Slide projector
. CD player
. Digital camera
. Extension cords
. Faculty who want to reserve equipment for classroom presentations need to come to the library at least one day beforehand if they need to learn how to use the equipment. They are also responsible for testing the equipment at least an hour before they need to use it to ensure everything is in working order.
. Screens and projectors may be loaned out for student organization functions.

HS INTERNATIONAL BACCULAURATE AND GSSM STUDENTS

COMMUNITY PATRONS
. Due to high demand from the Coker students, community patrons do not have computer privileges.
. Community patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
. Borrowing privileges are extended only to community patrons age 18 or older.
. Patrons must present a valid driver's license or other picture identification each time an item is checked out. The one-time only fee cost of borrowing is $5.00.
. Books, CDs, and audio-cassettes circulate for 2 weeks. Community patrons may not have more than 5 items checked out. 1 renewal is allowed.
. All other materials--videos, DVDs, scores, reference books, reserve materials, magazines, journals, newspapers, microfilm, microfiche, and record albums--must be used within the building. On occasion, certain materials may be borrowed for teaching purposes or community services only; to receive special permission for this, see Melinda or Alexa.

If the item is returned after billing but before the item has been replaced, the charge for the item will be refunded; the $50 fee will NOT. ALUMNI
. Borrowing privileges are extended at no cost to former graduates of the college. Proof of alumni status may be requested. Alumni borrowing policies are the same as those of community patrons. |
