Performing
Arts Series
Coker
College's Performing Arts Series (PAS) was founded in
1998 to take full advantage of the professional facilities
of the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center.
Annually, the PAS raises funds to host productions by
internationally prominent artists in the areas of dance,
theater and music.
Events in the PAS are open to the general public for a
nominal ticket price and free with Coker ID. Since the
price of tickets does not cover the cost of a professional
production, the Board of Directors of the PAS encourages
gifts and donations.
Artists who have been part of the PAS include pianist
Emanuel Ax, chamber musicians Eroica Trio and Charles
Wadsworth, the Aquila Theater Company, jazz musician Slide
Hampton, and the dance companies of Paul Taylor 2 and
Jump Rhythm Jazz Project.
