HARTSVILLE – Nov. 26, 2012 – Stuart Schulzke, vice president of strategic partnerships at FORA.tv, will give a lecture at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29 in Davidson Hall.
His talk, "New Media and Society," will offer insights about how international experience has affected his life and career.
In conjunction with his work with FORA.tv, Schulzke travels extensively and has deep world affairs content credentials. He has earned two graduate degrees at the University of Oxford – one in East European Studies and the other in Middle East Studies – and his research has ranged from conflict resolution in Palestine to anti-corruption strategies in post-communist Central and Eastern Europe.
Schulzke previously worked for the United States House of Representatives, primarily in framing media strategies for the Congressional Human Rights Caucus.
He oversees the development of FORA.tv partnerships with content providers and plays a primary role in formulating the company's overall content strategy.
The San Francisco-based firm boasts the Web’s largest collection of unmediated media drawn from conferences, universities and public forums. Backed by William Randolph Hearst III and Adobe Ventures, the enterprise began as a free portal for influential conference videos and has recently gained traction with a pay model, charging to watch high-level conferences by organizations and publishers including The Economist, Wired and The New Yorker.
