The following students were inducted:
The two Coker staff members that were inducted were Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Kyle Saverance and Assistant Director of Admissions Bruce Douglas. The purpose of Omicron Delta Kappa is to recognize those who have attained a high standard of efficiency in collegiate activities and to inspire others to strive for conspicuous attainments along similar lines; to bring together the most representative students in all phases of collegiate life and thus create an organization which will help mold the sentiment of the institution on question of local and intercollegiate interest; and to bring together members of the faculty staff and student body of the institution on a mutual interest and understanding. Membership in ODK is awarded to undergraduate junior and senior students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, to students of graduate and professional schools and colleges of the institution, to members of the faculty and administration, to alumni, and to persons qualifying for membership “honor causa.” Election to membership is on the basis of mutual interest and understanding. Coker College’s Omicron Delta Kappa Initiation Ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in the Drengaelen House of Coker College. ------------------------------------------------- Coker College readies undergraduates for personal and professional success through a distinctive four-year program that emphasizes a practical application of the liberal arts as well as hands-on and discussion-based learning within and beyond the classroom.
