The Carolina Composers will present four musical pieces in the show: Culpepper has shared her beautiful soprano voice with audiences across the United States, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean and to countries in Asia including Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Brunei. Career highlights include performing more than 85 roles in opera and oratorio, and solo concert tours throughout the world with American Voices. Currently, she is the Artist Associate of voice in the music department at Davidson College. Bush has played the piano since he was 5 years old and it has continued to be a lifelong passion for him. In 2008 he received the Artist Fellowship in Music Performance from the South Carolina Arts Commission. In the summers Phillip works as an administrator with the Chamber Music Conference and Composers’ Forum of the East, a program in Bennington, Vermont where other amateurs and non-music-professionals come to study with professional performer-teachers. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Bush currently lives in Columbia, S.C. with his wife (pianist and USC professor) Lynn Kompass, their 3-year-old son Spencer, and dog Ruby.
