Mr. Townsend was elected Chairman of the Education and Public Works Commission in 1994 and served as Chairman of the committee until 2006. He is currently working with the High Schools that Work initiative with the State Department of Education. The program is an informative question and answer non-partisan forum that focuses on how and why educators should be politically involved.
