HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College is pleased to announce the hiring of Whitney Watts as Coker’s new Assistant Director of Residence Life. A 2008 graduate of Coker, Watts returns to her alma mater after receiving her Masters of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina.

Watts brings back to Coker extensive experience in student affairs having served as a graduate assistant for student activities, student union programming, orientation and leadership development at Columbia College. Whitney also served as a graduate intern for student affairs at Coastal Carolina University.

A magna cum laude graduate at Coker with a double major in communications and English, Watts will be responsible for the oversight and training of Coker’s mentor/orientation program the Commissioners, while also assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Residence Life office and major campus life activities such as orientation and homecoming.
