Cultural Events Calendar 2006-2007

Coker College has always been a cornerstone for cultural events in the local community and the state. Educational and entertaining, the College's cultural events include student productions in dance, music and theater as well as art exhibits, international films, and guest speakers. Additionally, the College hosts professional touring companies several times a year.

When applicable, tickets are sold in advance and at the door. All events are free with Coker ID (faculty, staff, students). Some events are free for the General Public.

The Watson Theater and the Black Box Theater are located in the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center on campus (corner of Campus Drive and East Carolina Avenue, two blocks from downtown Hartsville). The Cecelia Coker Bell Art Gallery is located in the Gladys C. Fort Art Building.

Coker is an independent, comprehensive liberal arts college founded in 1908. The living and learning environment at Coker fosters participation in the community of scholarship and the development of ethical character, leadership skills and social responsibility.
