The Health Services Office’s purpose is to enable residential students to perform optimally by assessing and removing any health barriers to learning. Jamie Byrd, LPN, is available to assess illness or injuries and provide basic treatment and/or referrals to a physician if necessary.

Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Closed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. From 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., students can get physician referrals from Student Services. After hours, students are encouraged to contact their RA or call 911 in an emergency.

Required Student Information

To ensure that treatment for accident or illness is readily available, resident students must adhere to the following requirements:

1. Have a Coker College Medical Profile completed and on file with the College Nurse prior to moving into the residence halls.  Failure to file the form may result in denial of housing, fines or cancellation of registration.  New Residential Student Medical Profile
2. All residential students are covered under Section I of the school sponsored Markel Insurance policy.  Information on waiving Section II will be sent in the summer mailing from the Business Office.
