(3-21-04) Women's Tennis Tops Belmont Abbey

HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker’s women’s tennis team won its second CVAC match of the year with a 7-2 win over Belmont Abbey Sunday afternoon.  The men’s team struggled against a strong Abbey squad and was defeated 9-0.  The women improve to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in the conference, while the men fall to 2-13, 0-8.

 

(3-20-04) Crocker Wins Deciding Match, Top Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC – Coker pulled out 5-4 victory at Columbia College Saturday afternoon in women’s collegiate tennis.  The Cobras improve to 3-8 on the year with the win.

 

(2-7-04) Women's Tennis Breezes by Claflin 9-0

HARTSVLLE, SC- Coker opened the season with a 9-0 win over Claflin University.  Head Coach John Blackburn's Cobras only lost seven games in route to the victory.  Solid performances from top to bottom was good to see from the young team.  They will travel to Newberry College on Saturday, February 14 for their next match.  For match results, follow link on the schedule.

 

Cobras Looking To Build Under Blackburn

The Coker College women's tennis team has completed fall workouts in preparation for the upcoming 2004 season under second year head coach John Blackburn. Returning for the Cobras are junior Jennifer Crocker and Neely Davis.  Blackburn added freshmen Andrea Santos and Jennifer Konopa.  The Cobras will play their first match Friday, February 6 at 3:30 PM against CVAC opponent Erskine College at the Coker College Tennis Courts.
