Cobras Struggle At Lander
GREENWOOD, SC – Coker dropped its third consecutive game Monday night 5-1 at Lander University in women’s collegiate soccer. The Cobras fall to 6-5 on the year, while the Bearcats improve to 7-4.
Lander pulled ahead with three first half goals by Noel Livernois, Ashley Timmerman, and Rebecca Hayes. LU added a fourth in the 50th minute before Coker finally got on the board. Senior Kristie Lowe scored her first
Jacque Stewart three saves on 13 shots in the loss. Coker was out-shot 13-9 in the match but held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
Coker gets a much-needed break and will return to its home field this Saturday, October 18 against Lees-McRae.
