Cobras Fall In Five Games
MISENHEIMER, NC – Coker came back twice in its match at Pfeiffer Friday night but couldn’t pull out the win in a 3-2 loss in collegiate volleyball. The Cobras lost the first set 30-28, won the second 30-21, lost the third 30-21, won again in the fourth 30-27 and lost the deciding fifth set 15-7. CC falls to 1-2 on the year and 0-2 in the CVAC.
Sophomore Andrea Manuel led the attack with 19 kills and only four errors. Manuel also added 22 digs, four aces and three blocks.
Senior Frederica McClary totaled 14 kills and classmate Selena Davis contributed 13 kills, 12 digs and three blocks. Freshman Tara Nelson finished with 41 assists, 21 digs and five block assists.
Coker takes on Limestone Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 PM in Hartsville.
