Cobras Unable To Keep Up With Converse
HARTSVILLE, SC – The Coker College volleyball team lost a critical non conference match to Converse College Thursday night in women’s collegiate volleyball. Coker drops to 8-7 on the season. The All-Stars improve to 11-12.
Inspired by a homecoming crowd, Coker started off hot en route to a first set 30-27 win. Momentum quickly shifted back to Converse however as they won the next three sets 30-24, 30-22, and 30-24.
Sophomore Andrea Manuel led the Cobras with 12
kills, 15 digs, and five service aces. Senior Selena
Davis added eight kills and 13 digs while freshman Tara Nelson
contributed 29 assists, 17 digs, and one block solo.
Coker will look to get back on the winning track tomorrow night as they visit CVAC opponent Belmont Abbey College. Action is set to begin at 7:00 P.M.
