Cobras Drop Third Straight
Belmont, NC – Coker was unable to stop their two game losing streak Friday night against CVAC opponent Belmont Abbey in women’s collegiate volleyball. The Cobras were never able to establish a rhythm and lost in straight sets 30-27, 30-27, and 30-21. The Cobras fall to 8-8 on the year and 2-7 in the conference while the Crusaders improve to 5-11 and 2-7 in the CVAC.
Freshmen Tara Nelson paced the Cobras with 34 assists, 14 digs, 2 block assists, and one block solo. Sophomore Andrea Manuel added 10 kills, 13 digs, and 2 block assists while senior Selena Davis tallied six kills and 12 digs. Senior Frederica McClary finished with six kills.
Coker will look to get back on the winning track Monday, October 6th at Newberry College. Action is set to begin at 6:30 P.M.
