Tennis 7-2
Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University men’s
tennis team swept the three doubles matches en route to a 7-2 non-conference win
over Coker College Sunday afternoon at the Wingate University tennis facility.
The Bulldogs improve to 5-3 overall, while the Cobras fall to 2-11 overall.
Wingate won the top two doubles matches by scores of 8-0 and 8-3, respectively.
Coker defaulted at number three doubles.

Tops Claflin in Season Opener
HARTSVILLE, SC - Head Coach John Blackburn opened the men's tennis
season with a 7-0 win over Claflin University to record his first win
as at the helm of the program. The program was restarted this
year after a one year hiatus. The young and talented team will
serve it up again when they travel to Newberry Saturday, Feb. 14.
