Coker Sweeps Belmont Abbey 3-0
BELMONT, NC – Coker got back on track Wednesday night with a 3-0 victory at Belmont Abbey in women’s collegiate volleyball. The Cobras took the first set 30-18, won 30-26 in the second, and completed the sweep by a 30-24 margin in the third set.
Coker improves to 2-1 on the year and 1-0 in the CVAC, while the Abbey drops to 1-3 and 1-2 in conference.
Junior Andrea Manuel/Spartanburg, SC led CC with 11 kills and nine digs and freshman Margaret Madison/Savannah, GA added 10 kills and eight blocks. Sophomore Tara Nelson/Rochester Hills, MI finished with 28 assists, 14 digs and two aces, while libero Ashley Schaum/Irmo, SC contributed eight digs.
The Cobras are back in action this Saturday, September 11, against Limestone College at 6:00 PM.
