Cobras Struggle At Pfeiffer
Misenheimer, NC – Coker College struggled on the road Thursday night in a 72-54 defeat at Pfeiffer in women’s collegiate basketball. The Cobras managed only 36 percent shooting in the game and turned the ball over 23 times. CC drops to 8-10 on the year and 6-6 in the CVAC, while the first-place Falcons improve to 16-2, and 11-1 in the conference.
No one reached double-figures for the Cobras, as junior Frederica McClary leading the way with nine points and eight rebounds. Junior Shamae Hemingway finished with eight points and nine boards, while classmate Selena Davis and senior Lou Brunson also tallied eight markers.
Amanda Joplin led Pfeiffer with 18 points and Shannon Reid followed her with 16 points. Guard Amie Williams finished with 10 points and six assists.
The Cobras return home this Saturday, February 8 to face Erskine at 2:00 PM.
