Coker Takes Fourth Straight HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker pulled out an exhilarating five set win over Anderson College Friday night in women’s volleyball. The Cobras now stand at 13-11 overall and 5-7 in the CVAC, while AC falls to 18-9, 6-5 in conference.
Coker Sweeps Queens 3-0 HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker ran its unbeaten streak to three matches Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep of Queens University of Charlotte in collegiate volleyball. CC has won nine straight games during the streak and now stands at 12-11 overall and 4-7 in the CVAC. The Royals fall to 10-15, 4-7 in the conference.
Coker Takes A Pair against Meredith and Peace HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker evened its record at 11-11 on the year with a pair of 3-0 wins over Meredith College and Peace College Friday in women’s volleyball. Meredith drops to 4-16 on the year, while Peace falls to 9-15.
Coker Defeats Columbia 3-0 COLUMBIA, SC – Coker got back on track Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory at Columbia College. The Cobras swept Columbia by scores of 30-27, 30-23, and 30-20. CC improves to 6-8 on the year.
Coker Swept By St. Andrews HARTSVILLE, SC – Coker ran into a talented St. Andrews team Thursday night and came out on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision in collegiate volleyball. The Cobras fall to 5-8 on the year and 2-5 in the CVAC, while the Knights improve to 8-5 and a perfect 7-0 in conference.
Cobras Pull Out Five Setter BELMONT, NC – Coker continued its fast start with an exhilarating 3-2 win over Newberry College Tuesday night. The Cobras recorded 42 blocks in the match and were led by their two middle hitters, Margaret Madison and Courtney Barton. Madison recorded 10 kills and 11.5 blocks, while Barton pounded the Indians for 18 kills and 9.5 blocks.
Madison Named CVAC POW BELMONT, NC – Freshman Margaret Madison earned CVAC Player of the Week honors for last week after the Cobras went 2-1 against Francis Marion, Belmont Abbey and Limestone. Madison leads the 4-1 Cobras in kills for the season.
Cobras Sweep Belmont Abbey BELMONT, NC – Coker bounced back from its first loss of the season with a sweep at Belmont Abbey Wednesday night. Junior Andrea Manuel led CC with 11 kills and nine digs and Tara Nelson contributed 28 assists, 14 digs, and two aces.
Coker Falls At Francis Marion FLORENCE, SC – The Cobras dropped their first match of the season 3-0 at Francis Marion Tuesday night in non-conference action. Freshman Megan Haupt continued to have the hot hand with a team-best 12 kills.
