Cobras Defeated At Longwood
Farmville, VA -- Coker was defeated 3-0 at CVAC and region power Longwood in women's collegiate soccer. The Cobras are 2-5-1 overall and 2-4 in the CVAC.
Longwood, ranked 15th in the country, scored two first half goals and added a third in the second period for a 3-0 lead. Coker struggled offensively against the Lancer defense, and was out-shot 23-6 in the match. Senior Amy Kessler started in goal for the Cobras and made 11 saves in 90 minutes.
Coker next faces Division I The Citadel on Tuesday, October 2. The Cobras match against the first-year program will begin at 6 PM at the Coker Soccer Field.
