Hartsville, SC -- Coker defeated Columbia College 6-1 Monday evening in a tale of two halves. The Cobras and Koalas were all tied up at 1-1 at the break but Coker outscored Columbia 5-0 in the second half for an easy victory. The Cobras improve to 5-7-1 overall while Columbia falls to 3-9-1.

Coker freshman Erin Blevins picked up the first of her two goals on the night in the 20th minute on an assist from sophomore Sara Lauzze to put the home team ahead by one. The Fighting Koalas struck back however with eight minutes remaining to knot the game at 1-1.

After the break the Cobras offense heated up behind sophomore Kristie Lowe. Lowe got a hat trick in the second half to put the game out of reach. Classmate Brandi Bibby added a goal to complete the Cobras scoring sheet. Sophomore Toni Crowel assisted on three goals and Blevins also picked up an assist.
