Cobras Fall 64-60

Hartsville, SC - Coker lost a big early lead to St. Andrews, falling 64-60 Saturday afternoon in women's collegiate basketball. The Cobras couldn't overcome a cold shooting spell and the Knights took advantage. Coker drops to 1-14 overall and 1-9 in the CVAC while SAPC improves to 3-13, 1-9 in conference.

Coker played aggressively at the start of the game and opened up a double digit lead midway through the half. St. Andrews regrouped, however, and by the half and come back to within two, at 38-36. The Cobras shooting woes continued in the second half and had to play from behind for the majority of the period. Coker made only 17 of 34 foul shots in the game and were 1/11 from behind the arc. CC stayed in the game despite their offensive troubles but in the end, couldn't make the baskets they needed.

Sophomore Selena Davis led Coker with 14 points and classmate Leanne Chandler recorded another double double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Sophomore Frederica McClary contributed nine points, seven rebounds and two steals.
