Coker Falls To 0-2
Greensboro, NC - Coker lost 58-47 at Greensboro College Tuesday night in women's collegiate basketball. The Cobras offensive woes continued as they shot only 34 percent from the field and 36 percent from the line. Coker drops to 0-2 on the young season while Greensboro improves to 1-0.
The Cobras got off to a cold start, connecting on only 24 percent from the field and trailed at the half 33-19 to the Pride. CC improved in the second period and shot 44 percent but could only close the halftime deficit by three.
Sophomores Shamae Hemingway and Salena Davis led the Cobras with 12 points each and classmate Leanne Chandler finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
After the Thanksgiving break Coker will return to the court Wednesday, November 28 in their CVAC opener at Pfeiffer. The Cobras will face the Falcons at 5:30 PM.
