The Director of Kalmia Gardens coordinates and is responsible for all activities pertaining to the gardens, including, but not limited to long-term development, plantings, fund-raising, membership, outreach and the overall day-to-day operations of the Gardens.

Works with educators and civic groups to schedule,
plan and execute field trips and on and off-site visits and classes;
coordinates with Clemson Extension Agency to host Master Gardener
and Junior Master Gardener classes. Directs "Week in the Wild" summer
camps teaching first to tenth graders about the natural world and
is also responsible in finding and writing grants for educational

Works with volunteers to maintain the gardens; answers gardening questions; researches, plans and executes garden designs; coordinate plant sales.
